Gladbrook Auxiliary

September 27, 2013
Northern-Sun Print
The Gladbrook Auxiliary held their annual fall sewing days on Thursday and Friday, Sept 19 and 20th. Four members were busy at machines sewing the denim strips and others then snipped the ears and rolled the strips into balls for the carpet looms at the Iowa Veterans Home. Regulars helping were Joyce Bern, Cathy Barnes, Marilyn Carstensen and Dick and Jolene Denbow while those who came to help one of the days or for just an hour were Pat Clausen, Louise Ulch, Dennis Barnes, and Corrine Jensen. And a special thank you to Martha Gamble who rolls up the scraps from her tote bag project. It was a successful event as we delivered 68# of rolled denim and materials to the IVH quartermaster.
