Jr. Auxiliary distributes poppies

Members of the Gladbrook Jr. Auxiliary distributed poppies on a rainy afternoon May 8th. The Juniors met after school at the Memorial Building for a treat furnished by Kathy Vavroch and Betty Dahms. The girls picked out a bag made by Martha Gamble to carry their poppies in. The Juniors were divided up into 6 territories in Gladbrook and one group went to Lincoln. After they were finished the girls enjoyed a hotdog supper hosted by Trudi Scott and donated by Martha Gamble. The Juniors collected over $400 dollars for veterans and their families. Please wear your poppy on Memorial Day. Mothers and Unit members helping were Kathy Vavroch, Jodi Betts, Poppy Chairman, Jamie Moore, Sandy Dale, Lisa Reinhard, Melissa Sienknecht, Joyce Swangel, and Jeanne Paustian.
