Tama County District Court Before Judge Paul D. Miller in Tama County District Court in Toledo: Sklier Makes Room For Them, 19, Toledo, pled guilty to 3rd degree criminal mischief. A two-year prison term and fine of $625 were suspended. He was placed on probation for two years to the Department of Correctional Services. Makes Room For Them was charged on Dec. 2, 2012, for using a pocket knife to slash 24 tires. He was directed to pay restitution totaling $2,412. The incidents occurred in the 100 block of South Church, 100 block of South Broadway, 600 block of South Main and 100 block of Business Highway 30. the charge was filed by Toledo Police Officer Andrea Young. Mark Elwood Oelmann, 52, Ackley pled guilty to possession a controlled substance - marijuana. He was fined $315, received a suspended 30-day jail sentence and was placed on self-supervised probation. His driver’s license was revoked for 180 days. Oelmann was originally charged with possession of marijuana as a subsequent offense by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Bruce Rhoads. A County Attorney’s Information added a second charge of possession of a prescription drug without a prescription. That charge was dismissed. Phoebe Blanche Kapayou, 19, rural Tama, pled guilty to possession of nitrous oxide. She received a deferred sentence, was placed on unsupervised probation and assessed a $315 civil fine. Kapayou was charged on April 12 with possession of nitrous oxide with intent to breath, inhale or ingest after being stopped on the U.S. Highway 30 Expressway at F Avenue for reckless driving by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Joe Quandt. Kendra Chanel Newton, 23, Marshalltown was sentenced to two days in jail and fined $1,250 for first offense drunken driving. She had pled guilty earlier. Newton was charged on Cost. 21, 2012, on U.S. Highway 63 at Tama County Road E29 by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Joe Quandt. Israel Lee Camacho, 19, Tama, pled guilty to assault causing bodily injury. He was fined $315 and sentenced to seven days in jail with credit for seven days served at the Lary Nelson Center. Camacho was charged on Sept. 5, 2012, for hitting a victim with a closed fist by Toledo Police Officer andrea Young. The incident occurred at the Toledo City Park adjacent to the Tama-Toledo Family Aquatic Center.
