A Tree For Tanya

May 16, 2013
Northern-Sun Print

In memory of Tanya (Clausen) Richards, nine of her '89 G-R classmates purchased a hackberry tree and planted it at the Crayon Corner Pre School and Daycare Center. Tanya's father John Clausen explained that when Tanya was two, she was the first student enrolled at Union Grove Preschool, at the time, the only area preschool. Trees Forever Field Coordinator Patty Petersen gave a brief message about the importance of trees and why a tree is an excellent memorial for Tanya. After the tree was planted, Larry and Shirley Miell and daughter Beth Wiese hosted the group for lunch.
