Garwin Public Library-Hello From the Garwin Library

April 26, 2013
Northern-Sun Print
I have forgotten to report to you that Diana Collins is my new assistant here at the library. She’s been working Tuesday mornings while I’m taking Public Library Management 2 on Thursday mornings. My assignment this week was about the demographics of the town of Garwin. I included the age of our library, it was started in 1920 by the ladies club, and told about Jean Hurlbut walking back in forth in front here pushing her walker and visiting with patrons that meet her. She is 5 years older than our library. We are all proud that she is part of our community. A big thank you to the Gladbrook Library who donated 45 books to us. May Christian series, by your favorite authors, and some mysteries. I have been doing a lot of weeding so stop in and check out our sale cart. Lola Slingluff, Library Director
