Donate to Union Grove State Park Cabin Project and benefit your 2012 taxes By Betty Dahms

With the plans underway to build a second cabin at Union Grove State Park, identical to the original cabin that exists now, the Iowa Parks Foundation looks forward to joining with private supporters of Union Grove to keep the project moving forward. With the Iowa Parks Foundation willing to donate $30,000 and the DNR agreeing to contribute $90,000 to the $150,000 needed, $30,000 is still needed. Now with tax season fast approaching, it is an optimum time to donate and a prime time to take advantage of tax deductions linked to a donation made during 2012. The Iowa Parks Foundation , a tax deductible 501 (c) (3) charity, will hold and dispense funds to complete the project. You can make your check payable to the “Iowa Parks Foundation”. In the notation part of the check please write “Union Grove”. Send checks to “Iowa Parks Foundation” c/o Joe Gunderson, 321 E. Walnut Street, Suite 300, Des Moines, Iowa 50309. Further questions may be directed to Iowa Parks Foundation board member Ann Raisch at (641) 640-0145 or Roger Thompson, DNR Park Officer, at Union Grove State Park, (641) 473-2556.
