Garwin Modern Homemakers

December 21, 2012
Northern-Sun Print
Thirteen members met at King Towers in Tama for lunch and our Christmas Party. President Kathy Thurston opened the meeting. Vivian LeVier had roll call. Her question was, “What Christmas activity is your least favorite and your most favorite?” Kathy passed out the new program books and Donna Tichy gave us the receipt books. Each one ordered from the menu. While we waited for our food, Beverly Judge read seven readings, “Where the pills go”; “Funny things kids come up with”; “Kids funny prayers”; “Time for Resolutions”; “Texting for seniors”; “Grandma’s answer”; “No room in my home for him”. After we ate, Kathy passed out the Christmas gifts from our Secret Santas. We tried to guess who it was from, most of us could not. Kathy read from a few hymns, a verse that most times we do not sing. We were to identify that hymn. Then she had two readings “Pair of Shoes” and “Box Full of Kisses”. Beverly closed the meeting with two readings. “First Christmas in Heaven” and “An Old Veteran”. January hostess is Vivian LeVier, roll call, Beverly Judge, program, Judy Beane.
