Junior Girl Scout Troop 114 and Cadette Troop 716 from the GMG School collected coats to donate to the Salvation Army. Head Start and some area schools. The girls and their leaders Kim Sorem and Andrea Duncan collected coats, hats, scarves and gloves/mittens during the month of November at the GMG elementary and the GMG Junior/Senior High Schools. Also donating were those employed at CIRS and Hope United Methodist Church. Maytag Laundry in Marshalltown donated their facilities to launder all of the coasts free of charge so the Scouts could provide clean coats. Members of Troop 114 are Isabelle Duncan, Bailey Anderson and Gabrielle Ridout, with leader Andrea Duncan. Cadette Troop 716 includes Autumn Brown, Zoe Duncan, Keirsten Bushinger, Brook Rosacker, Amanda Smith, Jadyn Sorem, Peyton Gallentine, Lexi Sorem, Sydney Sorem and leader Kim Sorem. Members of the Troops are pictured as they delivered the collected items on December 5.
