Diane Mussig and Marcy Knaack hosted thirteen UMW members on October 17, 2012, in the church Fellowship Hall. President June Klinefelter opened the meeting with a prayer and read the scripture selected by Bobbi Jo Paige who gave the program about poverty. June read an article about the solar oven project in Haiti and announced that the unit had received a District Gold Award. The treasurer’s report was read and accepted. It was announced that the In Gathering contributions are packed and ready to be taken to Cedar Falls in November. Kay Lowry’s group gave a program at Westbrook Acres on October 16th. The meeting was closed with members reading the UMW Purpose. A card was signed for former Pastor Howard Lord who will celebrating his 88th birthday. Lucy DeWitt won the door prize.
