Tama County District Court Before Judge Ian K. Thornhill in Tama County District Court in Toledo: Douglas Edward Cadotte, 45, rural Tama, entered a written admission to violation of terms of probation. An application for revocation of probation was not granted but conditions were modified. Cadotte is required to reside at a correctional facilities program for up to 365 days. He was also directed to pay $1100 for court-appointed counsel fees. Cadotte was cited in a probation violation report on Dec. 14 for being arrested in the Meskwaki Settlement and charged on Dec. 9, 2018, in Meskwaki Tribal Court with 1st degree theft, possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia and admission in Meskwaki Tribal Court on Dec. 11, 2018 the use of methamphetamine within the past 48 hours. Cadotte is serving a probationary period on a charge of driving while barred. Alson Mark, 34, Cedar Rapids, received a deferred judgment and was placed on self-supervised probation to the Department of Correctional Services and was directed to pay a $300 supervisory fee. He entered a written guilt plea filed on Dec. 11, 2018. He was assessed a $1,250 civil penalty and court costs totaling $250. He must also complete a substance abuse violation and follow any treatment recommendations. Mark was charged on Sept. 22, 2018 near the 203 mile marker on the u.S. 30 Expressway by Toledo Police Sgt. Dan Quigley. Nathan Lewis Purk, 20, Marshalltown, pleaded guilty to carrying weapons. He was sentenced to a suspended two-year prison sentence and a $625 fine was also suspended. Purk was placed on supervised probation to the Department of Correctional Services for two years, directed to pay a $300 supervisors fee and was assessed $100 court costs. Purk was charged in the 1600 block of East 9th Street on Dec. 12, 2018, for unauthorized possession of a .380 caliber handgun with no serial number by Tama Police Officer Tyler Ayala-Pagan. Luis Antonio Puentes, 25, Montour, had a two-year prison sentence and $625 suspended on a charge of public intoxication, 3rd or subsequent offense. He earlier entered a guilty plea on Oct. 12, 2018. He and was placed on probation for one year to the Department of Correctional Services and directed to pay a $300 supervision fee and court appointed attorney fees of $100 and any victim restitution. Puentes was charged on Tama County Road E49 on June 11, 2018, by Tama Police Officer Jake Kessler. Bradley Albert Moeller, 27, Tama, admitted violation of terms of probation. An application for revocation of probation was not granted but conditions were modified. Probation was extended for one year and Moeller is to reside in a residential correctional facilites program for up to 365 days. He was directe to pay $100 for court-appointed attorney fees. Moeller was cited in a probation violation report to admission of use of methamphetamine on two occasions and failing to follow up on substance abuse treatment with treatment the Substance Abuse Treatment Unit of Central Iowa. Moeller pleaded guilty on July 5, 2018, to charges of gathering where controlled substances are used and possession of methamphetamine. He was charged on May 14, 2018, by Tama Police Officer Brandon Boldt.
