Gladbrook Lions Club

February 28, 2019
Northern-Sun Print
The Gladbrook Lions met on Feb. 21st for a supper meeting at Spanky’s. President Darrell Paustian showed the Lion eye glasses and hearing aid boxes he has placed in the churches, nursing home, bank, and pharmacy. Everyone was pleased that there has been a lot of glasses and hearing aids donated. Pastor Joe will be sending the glasses to a distribution outlet in Wisconsin and the hearing aids will stay in Iowa. Were hoping that the community will continue to donate their old glasses including children’s glasses and hearing aids. It will benefit so many in need. The Lions have started doing concession on the first Tuesday of the month. The group would like to thank the Erwin Maas family for the memorial donation in Erwin’s name. A library book in his name will be donated to the Gladbrook Library. Erwin was a long time member of the Gladbrook Lions. Trudi Scott and Jeanne Paustian will be sending out quarterly newsletters to all members starting in March. The Lions are looking into purchasing gold golf shirts with the Lion’s emblem engraved in purple. If anyone would like to learn more about the Gladbrook Lions Club please call Darrell Paustian at 641-751-2039.
