Northern-Sun Print
Gladbrook Womens Club met at the home of Pauline Flamme for the January meeting . Fourteen members were in attendance . The program was given by one of our own-B.J. Reed. She is currently working on her Master Gardener Program “degree” from ISU Extension. She explained what is involved in becoming a master gardener. She quizzed the members on our knowledge of gardening and explained how we can all try to have a “green thumb.” The program was very informative and interesting. Three lucky members won plants as quiz prizes planted by B.J. President Vivian called the meeting to order with fourteen members answering roll call. The minutes were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was approved and filed with the minutes. Dates for the Spring fundraiser Lunch and Holiday Happenings were set and the building reserved. Hospice cookie bakers for February were announced. Member’s birthdays and anniversaries were recognized for January. The meeting was adjourned and a delicious tea sandwich lunch was served by the hostesses: Pauline, Karen H., Connie and Arlene.
