Before Associate Judge Casey D. Jones in Tama County District Court in Toledo:

Thein Tun, 33, Waterloo, pleaded guilty to a charge of carrying weapons. Hw was fined and assessed a surcharge totaling $844 and assessed a total of $5,747 court costs. A 179-day jail sentence was suspended, Thun was placed on probation and directed to pay a $300 supervision fee to the Department of Correctional Services. Tun was charged at Tama County Road T47 and 250th Street, Garwin, on Jan. 17 when he was arrested on a public intoxication charge. A search of his person found a .25 caliber pistol concealed in a pants pocket. The charge was filed by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Joseph Quandt. Kimberly Rae Campbell, 47, Bondurant, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine. She was assessed a civil penalty and court costs totaling $1,768 and placed on self-supervised probation. She was directed to pay a $300 supervision fee. Campbell was charged on June 10 at the Meskwaki Bingo • Casino • Hotel , rural Tama, by Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police Officer Eric S. Lindsey. Minor pleaded guilty to 1st offense drunken driving. The minor received a deferred judgment and was assessed a civil penalty of $1,250 and is ot pay court costs.He was placed on probation, directed to pay a $300 supervision fee, to complete substance abuse evaluation and drinking drivers school. A charge of possession of marijuana was dismissed.

Before Associate Judge Nicholas L. Scott: Darwin Elvin Campbell, 62, rural Tama, pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily injury. He was fined and assessed court costs totaling $545 and received a suspended 180 day jail sentence. He was placed on supervised probation to the Department of Correctional Services and ordered to pay a $300 supervisory fee. Campbell was originally charged on June 16 with domestic abuse assault for allegedly pushing another down steps resulting in a broken ankle and bruising and kicking the victim in the arm while on the ground. The charge was filed by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Joseph Quandt.
