In action on Monday, Jan. 30 the Tama county Board of Supervisors approved on 3-0 voice votes: •the appointment of Libby Reekers, Belle Plaine, to the Citizen Advisory board for the Independence Mental Health Institute. Reekers is a mental health advocate employed by Tama County. •for 50 percent of the salary of Tammy Wise, human resources director and county insurance administrator to be paid from mental health funding. •the Veterans Administration quarterly report with a total of $12,807 paid for veterans assistance, office supplies and mileage. •utility permits for Windstream for various county locations including tower erection. •approved an actuarial services agreement with SilverStone group which determines, assesses and plans for the financial impact of risk. An agreement is a requirement. •approved weekly claims totaling $47,833.
