The Tama County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution Monday morning allowing the City of Chelsea to close Highway V18 south of the railroad in Chelsea for a car show and street dance on July26, 2014. This is sponsored by the Chelsea Fire Department. The closure is a temporary one to facilitate the benefit show. The City of Chelsea will provide a detour for traffic. The closure will be in effect on Saturday, July26 from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Three Utility permits were approved. They were for Windstream to place a section of buried cable along “L” Avenue to provide service to a new remodeled Iowa Premium Beef building at 3337 “L” Avenue. The second permit was for eliminating a pole in the field on Section 12 of Perry Township and install a pole and wire in a backslope. Poweshiek Water was approved for a permit to bore under 295th Street to get water service to 1869 295th Street, Toledo. Tama County Case Management Services was initially created through appropriate action by the initially participating public and private agencies as a public body, corporate and politic, and separate legal entity under Iowa Code Chapter 28 in 1991. The agreement was amended and restated in 1999. Due to recent changes to state laws generally effecting the provision of mental health services in Iowa and specifically effecting the provision of case management services in Iowa, the CMMHDS Board of Directors followed the procedure to amend and restate the First Amended and Restated Agreement as set forth in Section 12 of the First Amended and Restated Agreement and such procedure to amend and restate the First Amended and Restated Agreement was completed on July 21, 2014. The Tama County Board of Supervisors approved the second amended and restated agreement for the CMMHDS . The Tama County Auditor’s quarterly report shows collections of $1423.95 for maps and plat books (GIS shapefiles) and $39.00 miscellaneous for a total of $1462.95.
