Garwin Public Library-Hello From the Garwin Library

July 11, 2014
Northern-Sun Print
This Saturday, July 12, starting at 10:00 a.m. we will have students from UNI here to do a program on solar or wind power, depends on the weather, as to which they do. We will start on our craft projects and have pizza to honor our great readers. On the 19th we will watch the movie “Flubber’ and then make our own flubber and work on our crafts. On the 26th we will finish our science summer by making crystals. These take several hours to grow so the kids can pick theirs up next week. If you have old t-shirts for the kids to wear that would be great because our craft projects might get a bit messy. We will have a small lunch after the programs. A big thank you to Jenny Grey for the large donation of books. I have been processing these and have ordered some to finish series. I have the series “Jessica Darling” by Megan McCofferty for young adults. I have three of the “I Survived” series for elementary and three “How to Train Your Dragon 2” for the younger ones. Coffee ladies meet on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. and Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome to come and chat. Lola Slingluff Library Director
