The Modern Homemakers met Tue. June 10 at the home of Judy Beane. President Kathy Thurston opened with the pledge of the allegiance to the flag. The minutes of the May meeting were read and approved. Beverly Judge had roll call. She ask if we liked our first name and if not, what would we change it to? Her second question was, what farm chore did we hate when we were growing up? It was answered by 10 members. Old business, Beverly Judge passed out copies of the 2014 revised By-Laws for the club. We looked them over and made further changes to numbers 5 and 12b. Darlene Bovenmyer made a motion to accept the by-laws and Joan Bacon seconded the motion. The motion carried. New business, Darlene Bovenmyer talked about our account we have with Frontier Herb, and she had a dividend check for $35.46 to deposit in our account. Kathy read several sayings, such as "It's -------Time. Answer It's Howdy Doody Time and ect. She turned the program over to Vivian LeVier. Vivian told about her China trip. She had lot of nice picture and several silk scarves and other items she brought back. She gave each of us a little bag of tea. It was very interesting. Judy served a delicious raspberry dessert, with tea, lemonade, nuts and mints. July meeting ,Hostess,Roll Call, and Program will be Janet Abbe at her home. Janet Abbe Secretary-Treasure.
