Loraine Anita Otto, 99, of Gladbrook, IA, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014. Visitation was held from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2014, with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Gladbrook Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Homes, formerly Goettsch Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Maple Hill Cemetery in Gladbrook. Following the committal service, a celebration of Loraine's life will follow at the Gladbrook Theatre where lunch will be served. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Gladbrook Ambulance and Fire Department. Online condolences may be sent to Loraine was born March 26, 1915, to Carl and Ella Reimers Sievers in Garwin, IA. She attended country school and graduated from Gladbrook High School in 1932. Loraine was united in marriage to Albert Otto on January 27, 1937, in Gladbrook, IA, and together they farmed until 1979. She was a member of Peace Church, served on the church board, Afternoon Guild, Memorial Committee, Adult Fellowship, Neighborhood Club, Farm Bureau and bowled on several different leagues. Left to cherish Loraine's memory are her son, Albert D. (Cheryl Lubinski) Otto of St. Louis, MO; one daughter, Janice Mundt (Frank Randall); one granddaughter, Denise (Jeff) Betcher of Phoenix AZ; three grandsons, Gregory (Charlene) Otto of Houston, TX; Scott (Lonnie) Mundt of Apple Valley, MN; Chad (Amy) Mundt of Clermont-Ferrand, France; ten great grandchildren, Stephanie and Ryan Betcher; Melanie and Harrison Otto; Daniel, Connor, Zachary, and Aliya Mundt; and Mathew and Kathryn Mundt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her parents Carl and Ella Sievers; and three brothers, Lester, Elwood, and Hollis Sievers.
