Northern-Sun Print
Well, another month has passed and the weather still hasn’t what you call “settled down”. We haven’t let that stop us though as it is time to get ready for the Summer Reading Program in July. We do have a good sized selection of new books for you so come in and browse. Fiction: Perfectly Matched #3 by Maggie Brendan; The Icing on the Cake by Janice Thomas; To Honor and Trust #3 by Tracie Peterson; Into the Whirlwind by Elizabeth Camden; Rescue Team #2 and Trauma Plan by Candace Calvert; The Collector by Nora Roberts; Guilt by Association by Marcia Clark; Killing Cupid (LP) by Laura Levine; Murder She Barked (LP) by Krista Davis; Carnal Curiosity by Stuart Woods; Otherwise Engaged by Amanda Quick; Golden State by Michelle Richmond; The Dream Dress#3 by Janice Thompson; She Shall Be Praised by Ginny Aiken; Severed Trust#4 by Margaret Daley; Guilt by Degrees by Marcia Clark; I’ve Got You Under My Skin by Mary Higgins Clark; Keep Quiet by Lisa Scottoline; Blossom Street Brides by Debbie Macomber. Non Fiction: The Priority List by David Menasche; Rustic Chic Wedding by Morgan Hill; Carrie and Me (Carol Burnett)-Biography. Junior Fiction: Abby Carnelia’s One & Only Magical Power by David Pogue; Touchblue by Cynthia Lord; Sugar by Jewell Parker Rhodes. Our other news is that we received a $750 grant from the Tama County Community Foundation to make the library restroom handicapped accessible. It looks very nice and meets all standards now. We also received a generous donation from the Gladys Appelgate estate for memorial and one from the Ralph Alvestad family. The library is very appreciative of these donations. Have you tried our new Keurig coffee machine? Only $1.00 a cup! Please accept our apologies for having to cancel the Drug Take Back day on Saturday, April 26. Due to some miscommunications we were unable to accept any drugs. We will try to accomplish this the next time they have it. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Have a great day! Pat Sievers, Asst. Librarian
