Before Judge Sean McPartland in Tama County District Court in Toledo:

Christopher Lee McCombs, 34, Waterloo, was sentenced to a trio of prison terms to be served concurrently. For conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine he was sentenced to 10 years, for possession of lithium as a precursor with intent to manufacture meth, a five year sentenced was imposed and for operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent he received a two-year sentence and a $625 fine. Payment of the fine was suspended but McCombs was directed to pay a $125 Law Enforcement Iniative surcharge. He pled guilty earlier. McCombs and three others were charged on Dec. 13, 2013, at 1106 U.S. Highway 63 near Buckingham by Tama County Deputy Sheriffs Joe Quandt and Brian Randall.

Before Judge Stephen B. Jackson Jr. in Tama County District Court in Toledo:

Joe Jerome Miller, 44, Carlise, received a suspended two-year prison term and a $625 fine was also suspended for 3rd degree theft. He was placed on self-supervised probation for two years and directed to pay a $300 Department of Correctional Services supervisory enrollment fee. He entered a written guilty plea on Dec, 5, 2013. As part of the plea agreement, Miller repaid the victim $29,655 in restitution on the sentencing date of April 10, 2014. He is to continue to pay restitution to Robert Frundle in the amount of $250 until repayment of $8,245 is made. Miller was originally charged with theft by deception for allegedly entering into a written agreement with the victim to construct a pole building which was never built. Miller had been paid a total of $37,900. The charge was field by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Mike Wright. Brent Lasley Kucera, 33, rural Tama pled guilty to serious assault and received a deferred judgment and was assessed a $315 civil penalty. He was charged on July 28, 2013, for assaulting a female with whom he lived by pushing her down resulting in a cut on her hand. The charge was filed by Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police Officer Jacob Molitor. Austin Andrew Wobeter, 19, rural Toeldo, pled guilty ot assault and received a deferred judgment. He was assessed a $65 civil penalty and $30 ib court costs. Wobeter was charged with striking his father in the face on Jan. 5 while in the 2200 block of 260th Street. The charge was field by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Casey Schmidt.
