GMG Speech Team entertains at Gladbrook By Margaret Thomsen

GMG Speech Team members were pleased to present the program for the combined Gladbrook Women’s Club and Senior Citizens April meeting. The groups met for a noon meal at the Gladbrook Memorial Building on April 12. The students performed selections from the Large Group and Individual contest season. Kenna Krier and Noah Thurston performed a take-off of Abbott and Costello’s “Who’s on First?” and a Bill Clinton spoof, “Who Hired Them First?” Ella Gruen presented a touching poetry selection, “Daddy’s Girl”. Peyton Mannan treated the group to the delightful Dr. Seuss, “What Was I Afraid Of?” Mackenzie Burt brought tears as she read a prose, “Just Because Of Love”. Abigail Duden re-created her Storytelling as told her story, “Purpleicious”‘ and Kenna Krier told her most unique version of, “Cinderella, the Pyro”. Jenny Borota had all laughing as she presented her Acting - “The True Story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears”. This was from the perspective of a jailed Goldilocks. Team members included: Jenny Borota, Kenna Krier, Ella Gruen, Abigail Duden, Noah Thurston, Mackenzie Burt and Peyton Mannan.
