The Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School National Honor Society held Induction Ceremonies on Monday, April 7, in the auditorium at the high school in Reinbeck. Seventeen new students joined the current members of the NHS. National Honor Society President Elissa Stoakes welcomed students, parents and guests. The criteria the students must meet for the selection process was explained by current members of the Gladbrook-Reinbeck National Honor Society, a grade point of 3.25 or higher and show excellence in four areas-academics, character, leadership and service to the community.
The Lighting of the Candles was conducted by current members of the NHS, candles represented "Scholarship", "Leadership", "Character", and "Service".
The new members were introduced and recited the Pledge and signed their name into the register of the NHS of Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School.

Current members of the GR NHS include Brooke Boyle, Alyssa Christopher, Rachel Franksain, Emily Goodenbour, Tanner Greiner, Peter Meyers, Kaitlin Mohlis, Aaron Shouse, Elissa Stoakes, Sadie Walton and Shelby Yates. Current officers are President, Ellie Stoakes; Vice President-Sadie Walton; Secretary/Treasurer, Aaron Shouse. NHS members service activities this past year included, serving dinner at a fundraiser for a Dike woman with cancer, adopted an angel for Christmas, sponsored a Red Cross Blood Drive, and volunteered at the Tama County STEM Festival at Traer.
New members inducted were Nicole Adair, Hanna Christopher, Chase Clark, Meg Edler, Bryce Ehlers, Bailea Evenson, Shelton Hatch, Moriah Hoeppner, Camden Kickbush, Hannah Martin, Zach Pierce, Cydney Rose, Jenny Schildroth, Kelsey Schwartz, Alyona Strohbehn, Jeff Tscherter, and Maddison Wild.
Jennifer Strohbehn is the sponsor of G-R's National Honor Society.
A reception was held after the ceremonies.
