Garwin Public Library-Hello From the Garwin Library

April 4, 2014
Northern-Sun Print
Winter is almost over and then Carla went and bought us the movie “Frozen” and it started all over again. Other new DVD’s are the new Hunger Games; Jack Reacher; Alex Cross; Dallas Buyers Club and Incredible Burt Wonderstone. I will also be getting Twelve Years A Slave this week. New books are: The Light Between Oceans by M. L. Stedman; Whisky Beach by Nora Roberts; Bones of the Lost by Kathy Reichs; Private L. A. by Patterson; Orphan Train by Christina Kline; and The Lemon Orchard by Luann Rice to name a few. For juniors we have 39 Clues; Seekers; Vietnam #1: I Pledge Allegiance; Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children and many more. Our library is full of GMG’s Kindergarten -7th grade art and it’s rather amazing. If you have a few minutes stop in and take a look. Thanks go out to Shan, Janice, Stan and Tia for book donations and to Carla for two new DVD’s. A big “Thank You” to Randy and Judy Welton for their gift of $200. The coffee ladies raised enough money for me to purchase a V-Tech notebook that has 120 educational games for the children’s department, thank you to them and join them on Wednesday afternoons at 1 p.m. Gotta love our new library.
