Terry Johnson with Genesis met Monday morning, March 17, with the Tama County Board of Supervisors Kendall Jordan, Larry Vest and Dan Anderson. Johnson gave a report on the new home they have in the Toledo Tama area. Johnson said the house was occupied in December 2013. The house has five bedrooms , three baths, a kitchen etc. Johnson stated the occupants were very satisfied with the new housing. Genesis took over the Tama County Home a few years ago and has successfully taken care of those living there. Recently, there was a mandate stating the number of residents that could be housed there. This came to housing for several residents. The overseer of the new residence stated everything is going very well. Supervisors approved a 28E agreement which allows Emmet County to join the county social services already covering twenty one counties that include Tama County. Emmet County will make twenty two counties this district will cover. Tama County Supervisors approved a Liquor License for the Traer Golf and Country Club. This is for a Class C liquor License (LC) Commercial including outdoor services and Sunday sales. The License will become effective April 5, 2014 and will expire April 4, 2015. The Fiscal Year 2015 Budget Hearing was at 10:00 a.m. There was no taxpayers present for the hearing so the budget was passed and will be published. Lyle Brehm, County Engineer told supervisors he plans to do two new bridges this year. These will be done with Federal money. The money from the federal government comes to the State and is distributed to the County. Therefore the county works with the state and must meet all state regulations. The bridges are located in Grant township, section 19 west of Dinsdale. The other bridge is in Clark township, section 26 southwest of Dysart on W Avenue. Claims approved for paying came to $189,721.15.
