Northern-Sun Print
The regular meeting of the Garwin Roughriders 4-H group wad held at the Jackson’s house on 2/22/2014. The meeting was called to order by Frances Jackson at 9 o’clock. The pledge of allegiance was led by Wyatt. Roll call was answered by 4 members and there were no visitors were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was not given. In unfinished business the Fundraising committee reported that they met and have had responses. They will meet again to send out thank you notes. In new business, Garrett, Jake, and Codi will be on the t-shirt committee. They will bring three designs to our next meeting for the club to look at and approve. We also decided to approach Mrs.Cutler about planting flowers at the four way stop in Garwin as a service project for the city. For another service project, we will raise money for the Juvenile Walk for Diabetes. The walk will be held on May 10th at the State Fairgrounds. Each member should try to raise at least $25 dollars. Owen & Diana will bring us materials for fundraising at our next meeting. Our next meeting will be March 22, 2014. We will meet at the shelter house in Garwin at noon. We will carpool to Coral Ridge Mall for ice skating. Admission & skate rental for members & Clover Kids will be paid by the club. The 4-H pledge led by Wyatt. Frances moved to adjourn meeting, and Wyatt seconded. Members then enjoyed Girl Scout cookies
