Garwin Modern Homemakers

March 7, 2014
Northern-Sun Print
The Garwin Modern Homemakers met at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 11th at the home of Pat Ambler. President Kathy Thurston opened the meeting with a brain transplant joke. Ethel Lucht suggested roll call “what are you doing for Valentine’s Day?” and “tell us your pet peeve” answered by eight members. Minutes of the January meeting were approved and the treasurer’s report given. One members dues were collected. There was no business to discuss. Beverly Judge read “A Lady’s Yearly Exam” and Kathy gave a reading of kid’s sayings. Shirley Lewis was ill so Kathy conducted the white elephant exchange which provided many laughs and surprises. The March 11th meeting will be at Verna Stamps’ with roll call by Donna Tichy and program by Vivian LeVier. Bring another wrapped white elephant for more fun. A lovely Valentine lunch was served by the hostess.
