GIRLS HOOPS: North Tama outlasts Rebels

TRAER - The North Tama girls' basketball team closed out its home-court schedule with a win over a former conference rival, turning back Gladbrook-Reinbeck 48-43 on Saturday night. Sam Zobel led the Redhawks (12-6) with 14 points, nine rebounds and a blocked shot in the back-and-forth contest. Anna Kvidera tallied 10 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals, while Madison Howard finished with 10 points and five boards as well in North Tama's third straight win. Nicole Adair netted 14 points and Hayley Weber had 13 more to pace Gladbrook-Reinbeck (7-10). The Rebels host Grundy Center on Tuesday night in NICL West Division action, while North Tama starts its three-game road swing to close the regular season with Tuesday's Iowa Star Conference match at Waterloo Christian.
