Garwin Public Library-Hello From the Garwin Library

January 31, 2014
Northern-Sun Print
Our new library is still too good to be true, this spring we will have a soup/bake/rummage sale so more of you can get a chance to see what all the donations have provided us with. Our 10 a.m. Saturday movies average 10 children but as the weather warms I’m hoping for that to grow. They can sure eat a lot of popcorn. We are enjoying the new brew station at coffee time 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday; someone always brings a treat to go with the coffee. Lois Groth donated the DVD-Gifted Hands. Other new DVD’s are Prisoners, Sherlock Holmes, Storm Rider, Croods, Aliens in the Attic and Captain Phillips is on its way. New books are The Longest Ride, Sparks, Dust, Cornwall; Takedown Twenty, Evanovich; First Call From Heaven, Albom; Wicked City & Devils Garden, Ace Atkins; True Crime, Love Her to Death & Because You Love Me, Phelps. Edges of Truth the Mary Weaver story is an interesting true story about the woman in Marshalltown accused and convicted of killing a baby she was watching. There are plenty more new books so stop by and take a look. Lola Slingluff, Library Director
