G-R 7th Grade Boys BasketBall-Rebels Defeat Cobras for Second Win-By Coach Buskohl

On January 23, 2014 the young Rebels traveled to Union, IA. to take on the BCLUW Cobras after a quick look at the Denise Long trophy case and a strong 8th grade performance the Rebels were ready to take the court. Starting the game, both teams were very evenly matched as the score stayed low and the Rebels tied 4-4 at the end of the first quarter. The second period saw the Rebels maintain an edge while playng aggressive basketball and taking a tied 11-11 score into half time. As the Rebels began third quarter action, they knew they were in for a battle. Both teams traded basket several times only to find the score tied 17-17 heading in to the final stanza. The Rebels took to the offensive early as they took a six point lead at 25-19. The Cobras came back and got within one point at 25-24. Free throws gave the Rebels a 26-24 lead with the Cobras having a last second shot falling short prevailing a Rebels victory. Scoring in the victory were the followng: *Kaleb Hendricks - 2 points *Colton Clark - 7 points *Tyson Creswell - 4 points *Jordan Hall - 6 points *Jackson Kliburis - 7 points
