Before Judge Mitchell E. Turner in Tama County District Court in Toledo:

Misty Marie Weida, 39, rural Traer, entered a written guilty plea to a charge of assault causing bodily injury. She received a deferred sentence and was placed on self-supervised probation for one year. She was assessed a $315 civil penalty and directed to pay a supervisory enrollment fee. Weida was charged on Sept. 20, 2013, with an assault which injured the victim. The location of the assault was not listed in court records. The charge was filed by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Joe Quandt. Gregory Curtis Newsome Jr., 22, Tama entered a written guilty plea to a charge of serious assault - non-domestic. He was fined $315. Newsome was charged on Oct. 20, 2013, for assaulting a woman at an apartment in the 1000 block of South Prospect Drive by Toledo Police Officer Dan Quigley. Felisha Ruby Kapayou, 21, rural Tama, was sentenced to two days in jail, fined $1,250 and directed to complete drinking drivers school and outpatient treatment services as directed by a substance abuse evaluation. She had entered a guilty plea on Oct. 10 to 1st offense drunken driving. The charge was filed on June 22, 2013, at Tama County Roads T47 and 230th Street by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Trevor Killian. Wendy Lorraine Foss, 52, Gladbrook, entered a written guilty plea to 1st offense drunken driving. She was sentenced to two days in jail, fined $1,250 and was directed to complete drinking drivers school and to undergo a substance abuse evaluation. She may perform community service in lieu of paying the fine. Foss was charged on Jan. 15, 2013, in the 1800 block of T47 by Tama county deputy sheriff Joe quandt. Ralph Colbeth, 81, rural Montour, entered a written guilty plea to a simple misdemeanor charge of harassment. He was assessed a $65 fine plus court costs. Colbeth was originally charged on July 3, 2013, with 1st degree harassment for allegedly making several threats against Meskwaki Family Services personnel including getting a gun and blowing a service worker’s head off according to the court record. Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police Detective Craig G. Karr field the charge. Janet Sherry Nelson, 42, Marshalltown, entered a written guilty plea to credit card fraud. She received a deferred judgment and was placed on unsupervised probation for two years. She was fined $625 which was suspended and was directed to pay restitution. Nelson was charged on Jan. 26, 2013, with using a credit card belonging to a Toledo couple to pay for two rooms at the Boarders Inn and suites in Marshalltown. The room charges were $84 each. The charge was filed by Toledo Police Officer Brian Randall. Kevin Sean McKiernon, 32, Traer, entered written guilty pleas to two counts of child endangerment in a plea agreement. He was sentenced to two year prison terms on each charge to be served consecutively which were then suspended. Fines of $625 on each charge were assessed. Mckiernon was accused of consuming alcohol while in the custody of a child who was injured on Oct. 24, 2013. The incident occurred in the 700 block of 2nd Street in Traer. Tama Deputy Sheriff Casey Schmidt filed the charges.
