John Allan Parker Jr., 29, Shady Cove, Ore., entered a written guilty plea to keeping, permitting or maintaining a premises where controlled substances are used. He was given a deferred sentence, assessed a $625 civil penalty and placed on unsupervised probation. Charges of failure to affix a tax stamp, possession of 1.2 lbs. of marijuana with intent to deliver and gathering where drugs are used were dismissed. Parker was originally charged on Jan. 4, 2013, in the 100 block of East High Street by Toledo Police Officer Joseph McMillen. Kristin I. Jefferson, 29, rural Tama, entered written guilty pleas to charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and assault causing bodily injury. She received suspended sentences and fines of two years in prison on the weapons charge and a $625 fine and one year in the county jail and $315 fine on the assault - bodily injury charge. Jefferson was placed on self-supervised probation and directed o pay the enrollment fee. She was originally charged on June 18, 21013, in the 200 block of Red Earth Drive for assaulting the victim with a metal step stool by Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police Officer F. C. Oster. Douglas Allen McAtee, 58, rural Toledo, entered a written guilty plea to driving while barred - habitual offender. HGe was sentenced to seven days in jail, directed to pay the jail fees and fined $625. McAtee was charged on Sept. 210, 2013, in he 2400 block of 310th Street by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Wes Sebetka. Todd Patrick Lynch, 44, Marshalltown entered a written admission of violation of terms of probation and was found in contempt of court. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail with credit for 12 days already served. Lynch may purge the remaining 78 day jail sentence by completing a Batterer's Education Program by Sept. 4. He was cited for probation violation for earlier not completing the program as directed by the court. Jesse Daniel Lasley, 20, rural Tama, entered a written guilty plea to assault on a person engaged in certain occupation. He was fined $315. Charges of disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and public intoxication were dismissed. Lasley was charged on Nov. 17, 2013, for kicking Tama County Deputy Sheriff Brian Randall in the shin while officers attempted to placed him in the backseat of a patrol car after his arrest. The incident followed a disturbance in 200 block of C Street in Toledo. Toledo Police Officer Dan Quigley filed the charges. Joshua Dean Lanfier, 32, Marshalltown, pled guilty to forgery and entered a written guilty plea to 4th degree theft. He was sentenced to a concurrent five-year prison term with a Marshall County sentence, also for forgery, both of which are suspended. A$750 fine was also suspended. He was directed to pay victim restitution to Fareway Grocery, Toledo, totaling $481. For 4th degree theft he was fined $315. Lanfier was charged on Dec. 6, 2012 for writing two checks which were stolen on an account which was closed to Fareway totaling $365. The charges were filed by Toledo Police Officer Brian Randall. Cheyanne Adrian Tyon, 40, Toledo entered a written guilty plea to assault. He was fined $65. Tyon was charged in the 100 block of East State Street on Dec. 16, 2012, for spitting in his live-in girlfriend's face and pushing her into a refrigerator. The charge was filed by Toledo Police Officer Dan Quigley.
