Alpha Study

January 10, 2014
Northern-Sun Print
Alpha Study Club held their Christmas Luncheon Tues., Dec. 10 at the Gladbrook City Centre. A delicious lunch was prepared by the Uptown Lounge, with dessert provided by the social committee. The members dressed in vintage attire to help celebrate Alpha’s 100 years. Hats were a big hit! Karen Handorf contributed to this by bringing hats that have been in her family for many years. Marcia Plett had a display of the books recently purchased by the program committee for the Gladbrook Library. The committee made excellent choices. Jean Livingston read a program prepared by Emma Moeller titled “Nicholas”. Each member told a brief story of their favorite or most meaningful Christmas memory. Pat Clausen and Sue Koster let Christmas Carols. The next meeting will be Tues., Jan 14 at the home of Phyllis Chizek.
