Garwin Public Library-News from the Garwin Library

December 20, 2013
Northern-Sun Print
The open house went well. Thank you to all that came for a piece of Ruth’s wonderful cake, not sure i would have driven on those icy roads. A big thank you to the following people, Chris and Katie Bennett, who donated a computer for me and a large box of paper products; Roger and Linda Welton for their second donation of $300.00 this year; and Kay Ruport, Beryl Beck’s daughter, for a donation of $50.00. I have purchased a laminator and can offer that service for $1.00. We have two of the Duck Dynasty books, Starry Nights, Taking Eve, and Mistress for adults with more new ones on the way. For juniors we have Tunnels, Sleuth or Dare, and Serenity Rose plus several new Christmas movies for the little children. If you haven’t seen this beautiful new library on a clear day stop by for a tour, yes, tour. We even have hot water, hard to believe after 67 years in that little building. We still have movies at 10:00 a.m. on Saturdays. Hours-Mon. & Fri. 1-5 p.m.; Tues. & Sat. 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Wed. 1-6 p.m. Lola Slingluff, Library Director
