Garwin Modern Homemakers

December 20, 2013
Northern-Sun Print
Twelve members met at the Magnolia in Toledo on a very cold, windy, snowy day for a Christmas luncheon. Shirley Lewis read a piece called,”Christmas Angels” Beverly Judge prayed and lunch was served. It was chicken and noodles with mashed potatoes and a roll. Also could have a dinner salad. Drinks were flavored tea and coffee. About five choices of desserts were offered. It was all real good. Shirley read another piece called, “The Day after Christmas”. Judy Beane had roll call and her question was, What was your most memorable Christmas Program? Shirley had us play Christmas Bingo and the first to bingo got their gift from their Secret Santa, and the next to bingo did the same and so on until all 12 of us had gotten our gifts. When they were all opened we went around the table and held up the gift so all could see and told who it was from. It was a fun day. January hostess will be Vivian LeVier , Roll call Judy Beane, and Kathy Thurston has the program and she wants to have a white elephant sale, and asked us to bring the items wrapped.
