Before Judge Marsha A. Beckelman in Tama County District Court in Toledo:

Christopher Dale Betts, 34, Des Moines, entered a written guilty plea to 3rd degree theft in a plea agreement. He received a suspended two-year prison term, was fined $625 and placed on probation for two years. He was allowed time to pay the fine and additional court costs. The Clerk of Court was directed to pay a total of $50,300 on deposit with the office to the Meskwaki Casino, rural Tama, as restitution in the case. Betts was charged on Jan. 15 with 1st degree theft for allegedly writing a total of 10 checks to the Meskwaki Casino in the amount of $5,000 each over a period from Oct. 27-Nov. 27, 2012. All were returned by the bank marked insufficient funds according to the court records. the charge was filed by Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police Officer Scott Brammer. James Lee Crow, 35, Keystone, pled guilty to 3rd offense drunken driving. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison with all but 90 days suspended. He may be allowed to serve time in the Linn County Jail if approved by the Tama County Sheriff. Crow was fined $3,125 and his driver’s license was revoked for six years. Crow was charged on Dec. 12, 2012, on the U.S. Highway 30 Expressway at H Avenue by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Lucas Dvorak. Levi Andrew Palmer, 29, Traer, entered a written guilty plea to driving while barred as a habitual offender. He was sentenced to a suspended two-year prison term, fined $625 and placed on self-supervised probation. He was charged on Oct. 24, 2012, in the 2700 block of 1450th Street at T.F. Clark Park by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Trevor Killian. Dale Everett Bogue, 29, Tama, received a suspended 15-year prison sentence for failure to comply with sex offender registry requirements 2nd or subsequent offense as a habitual offender. A fine of $750 was also suspended and he was placed on probation for three years to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services. He had pled guilty earlier on Aug. 22. Bogue was charged on May 2 for failure to report monthly in April to update and provide information for the sex offender registry as required of a Tier II sex offender. The charge was field by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Michael Wright. Todd Alan Danielsen, 52, Elberon, entered a written guilty plea to assault with intent to inflict serious injury. Judgment was deferred and he was placed on probation for two years to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services. Danielsen is to complete an anger management program if recommended by Correctional Services. He was assessed a $625 civil penalty. Danielsen was originally charged with assault causing injury on Aug. 4 by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Bruce Rhoads. A county Attorney’s information filed in connection with the case accused Danielsen of domestic abuse assault and willful injury. Timothy LeRoy Pererson, 27, Waterloo, entered a written guilty plea to a charge of possession of burglary tools. He received a deferred judgement, was placed on probation for two years to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services and was assessed a $625 civil penalty. He was directed to pay a probation enrollment fee. Danielsen was charged on June 24 by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Lucas Dvorak. Steven Wayne Allnutt, 56, Norway, Iowa, entered written guilty pleas to charges of 1st offense drunken driving and possession of a controlled substance, marijuana. He received deferred judgments on each count, was placed on unsupervised probation for one year and was assessed civil penalties totaling $1,565. Allnutt was charged on July 9 at U.S. 30 and W Avenue by State Trooper Matt Schwenn. Robert Michael Chamberlin, 36, Tama, pled guilty to assault. He received a deferred judgement, was placed on probation for three years and directed to pay victim restitution. A $750 civil penalty was suspended. Chamberlin was charged on May 11 by Tama Police Officer Mark Bear. Travis Michael Savage, 36, Des Moines, entered a written guilty plea to 2nd offense drunken driving. He was charged on May 2 at E Avenue and West Village Road by Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police Officer Brian Shimon.

Before Magistrate Ann Kuhter:

Christopher Lee Rushing, 34, State Center, failed to appear and was adjudged guilty of driving while license suspended. Fine and court costs- $398. Tama County Sheriff’s Office filed the charge. Robert Loren Barker, 43, State Center, failed to appear and was adjudged guilty of speeding 68 mph in a 55 zone. $194. Tama County Sheriff’s Office. filed the charge. Audrey Ann Evans, 71, Toledo, entered an Alford plea to a charge of failure to yield. an Alford plea is not an admission of guilt but recognizes enough evidence is likely present to gain a conviction in court. $195 fine and court costs. Toledo Police filed the charge.

County Attorney’s information Dakota Lee Vodochodsky, 16, rural Tama, failure to yield to emergency vehicle $1965. Tama Police Donald ray Griffin, 50, Dysart, 5th degree theft $148 and $21c restitution to Terry’s Food Center. Dysart Police Bryce M. McCollister, 31, Tama, no vehicle insurance, address record violation, registration violation $760. Tama County Sheriff’s Office Kenneth Lee Lusk, 28, Cedar Rapids, speeding 85 mph in 65 zone $360. Tama County Sheriff’s Office Alice Marie Crone, 24, Tama, driving left of center $200. Tama County Sheriff’s Office Allen Lane Papakee, 52, Tama, public intoxication $148. Tama Police David Ray Goodard, 44, Waterloo, driving while license suspended, violation of restricted licenses $430. Tama County Sheriff’s Office.
