Community members as well as Gladbrook Commercial Club members turned out on Friday, September 27, for a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome Gladbrook's newest business, Serendipity by deb, owned and operated by Deb Osborn.
Jeanne Paustian, co-president of the Gladbrook Commercial Club welcomed everyone, "I am excited to welcome everyone here for the ribbon cutting today. Every small town needs a "Serendipity". A shop where you can get a variety of gifts and services. It is great to have the younger generation, Deb and Jim Osborn, willing to invest in their hometown. on behalf of the Gladbrook Commercial Club, I want to say, Good Luck and Best Wishes for the future success of Serendipity by deb."
Gladbrook Mayor Keith Sash thanked Deb and her husband, Jim, for investing in the town, to keep it "Alive and Growing", and mentioned other advancements Gladbrook has made in the expansion of the Napa store, Annie Stocker, as a new realtor and insurance agent, and the new Fire Station and Ambulance Building, soon to be added the great town of Gladbrook.
New business owner, Deb Osborn, and Mayor Keith Sash cut the ribbon on Deb’s business, Serendipity by deb, at the Grand Opening of the store on Friday, September 27.
After the ribbon cutting by Mayor Sash and Deb Osborn, Deb thanked everyone for coming to the ribbon cutting and supporting her new venture.
Serendipity by deb will offer a gift shop line, home decor, scrap-booking supplies, cards, coffee shop with dessert offerings, tuxedo rental, Varsity Cleaners pick-up and drop off, balloons, seasonal flowers and gathering place for the HANDS Prayer Shawl Ministry.
Deb will continue with her photo studio focusing on family portraits, children, high school senior and team sport photos.
Rev. Robert Doner gave the Blessing and everyone was invited for refreshments to celebrate the Grand Opening of Serendipity by deb.
Store hours are Tuesdays thru Fridays, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
