Tama County District Court

Before Judge Mary E. Chicchelly in Tama County District Court in Toledo:

Martin Garcia, 38, Toledo, pled guilty to a charge of domestic abuse assault. He was fined $65, assessed court costs and directed to successfully complete a Batters Education Program within 180 days. Garcia was charged with assaulting a victim with a Gatorade bottle resulting in a large, pink mark on the victim’s back. The charge was filed by Toledo Police Officer Andrea Young. Barry Bruce Evans, 40, LeGrand pled guilty to a charge of failure to appear in court. He was assessed a $625 fine which was suspended and sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days already served. He was also directed to pay victim restitution. Evans was cited in a County Attorney’s Information field Nov. 2, 2012, with failure to appear in court as required in connection with a felony.
