The Garwin City Council met for it’s regular monthly meeting Monday night and moved to approve a bid for stump removal in the city park. The stumps are from the July 11thstorm two years ago that damage many of the trees in the park. A back-pump will be purchased for the lagoon system and an ISO meeting will be held Tuesday to help with residents insurance rates. Costs were discussed about water tower maintenance and an ordinance will be drafted to add a surcharge to water bills to pay for the maintenance. Residence are reminded that ditch cleaning will begin were deemed necessary where water flow has been diverted. Some ditches have naturally filled in and others have been filled in, and neighbors are experiencing water flow into their homes. Also a reminder due to complaints received at City Hall, dogs, as well as CATS are not allowed to run loose within the City limits. Next regular meeting will be held Sept. 9th
