Letter to the Editor-Dave McGowan

June 28, 2013
Northern-Sun Print
Steve Anderson of Beaman and Summit Farms of Alden want to build a factory farm that will house 4,400 head of hogs and over 1.1 million gallons of manure annually. The factory farm would be on a dirt road that would be graveled and maintained at Tama County Residents expense. If built, this factory farm will destroy air quality, water quality and property values for nearby residents, residents of Lincoln and the county as a whole. Steve Anderson and Summit Farms will be making money off the burden of Tama County Residents. We urge everyone who opposes this proposed facility to call Steve Anderson at 641-366-2127 and cancel the sale agreement with Summit Farms.
