Northern-Sun Print
The funding drive for the Gladbrook Fire Station and Ambulance Building is up and running. We can report the project has pledges of over $ 400,000 toward the project goal of $800,000. The project got a great boost from the City of Gladbrook pledging $225,000 over 3 years at last Monday’s City Council Meeting. This is truly a community that is alive and growing. We are well on our way to develop another reason to live and invest in the Gladbrook Community. The two “Name It” contributions of $50,000 each really helped get the fund raising started. Their names will be proudly displayed above 2 of the doors at the new facility. All donors will be recognized in the Gladbrook City Centre. With a successful fund drive, it is anticipated that construction will begin the Summer /Fall of 2014 with the building enclosed before Christmas 2014. The new facility will be located just west of the new water tower along Highway 96. Pledge forms can be picked up at Gladbrook City Hall. The project is accepting 3 year pledges with payments in December 2013, December 2014 and January 2015. All contributions will go through the Gladbrook Community Foundation and are tax deductible. If you have any questions regarding the project contact any of the Gladbrook Firemen or Mayor Keith Sash.
