Connie Rohach, Toledo, was appointed Tama County Clerk of Court effective Friday, June 7 by 6th Judicial District Chief Judge Patrick R. Grady. She replaces Kim Halverson, Marshalltown, who served January, 2009. Halverson was Marshall County Clerk of Court at the time of her appointment and served both counties until now. Halverson became Johnson County Clerk of Court, also on June 7. Rohach is a veteran clerk of court employee. She first went to work at the Marshall County Clerk of Court Office in 1985. The office serves both district and magistrate courts, and records for criminal and civil proceedings including juvenile, probate, and traffic. Many of the records in the office are already entered into a computer system. Rohach said when she began there were no computers and everything was handled on dockets. Rohach becomes the third Tama County Clerk of Court appointed to the post. Ann Hendricks, Tama, who retired in 2009 was the first followed by Halverson. Prior to then the Clerk of Court was an elected county office. Reva Dostal, rural Toledo, was the last clerk to stand for election prior to the office being changed to a state office.
