CCLC Helps Across State Lines

June 1, 2013
Northern-Sun Print
Crayon Corner Preschool and Learning Center is accepting donations of new and used school supplies for students in Moore, Oklahoma, where the devastating tornado hit last week. A story on KWWL news about a Waverly family that is collecting school supplies for the students prompted Crayon Corner to join the effort. The Waverly family is planning to deliver the supplies to Oklahoma the middle of June and they will come to Gladbrook to get the supplies that are collected at the Center. The supplies DO NOT need to be new. Just think about how many of these items you don’t know what to do with when the school year ends. If you are interested in helping, just have your child fill up their backpack with supplies and drop it off at Crayon Corner Learning Center when school is done. Anyone can donate to the cause - just drop off your donation at Crayon Corner. All school materials are needed: notebooks and paper (wide and narrow ruled), markers, crayons, glue (bottle and glue stick), backpacks, pens, pencils, pencil sharpeners, erasers, highlighters, dry-erase markers, construction paper, copy paper, binders, rulers, tape, art supplies and gym supplies. Remember, all supplies will be accepted, new or used. Crayon Corner Learning Center is located just north of the G-R elementary. The Center is open Monday through Friday from 6am to 6pm. Donations need to be at the Center by closing on Thursday, June 6. We appreciate your assistance as we help others in need. Thank you in advance! If you have any questions, contact Crayon Corner Learning Center at 641-473-2600.
