April 19, 2013
The lady Rebels held their second game of the season on April 9th, against the South Tama Trojans. It was a wet and chilly game, but this did not stop the Rebel's high pressure scoring attack. The Rebels opened up the scoring early in the game with an intercepted goal kick. Emily Snider was there to control the misplayed kick to put it into the back of the net. The next goal was scored off of an excellent cross by Nicole Adair. Kyleah Dugan was able to get her hips around to send the ball into the far side of the net to put the Rebels up two to nill. The third goal was also scored off of a Nicole Adair assist. The Rebels had a free kick, and Adair sent an excellent ball towards the goal. Emily Snider was able to run onto it and place it in the net. A few minutes later, the Rebels were able to tack on a fourth goal. This one was off of another cross by Nicole Adair. Right forward Kyleah Dugan was able to put it right in front of the goal for a finish by Emily Snider. The Rebel's second to the last goal of the game came from the Adair and Snider duo again. Adair dribbled the ball towards the goal and slipped a pass to Snider who was able to slot it into the back of the net. The last goal of the second half was initiated by another Nicole Adair cross. Hannah Martin was able to put the ball at Emily Snider's feet that was able to finish it. This ended the scoring for the second half. The Rebel's defense was able to shut down all attack attempts made by the Trojans to hold them scoreless. With many goal attempts to start the second half, the Rebels were not able to put one in the back of the net for awhile. Eventually Kyleah Dugan was able to end the scoring drought off of another cross by Nicole Adair. This put the score to a seven to zero in the Rebel's favor. The Rebel's eighth goal was scored by Emily Snider off of a left-footed shot to the top left corner. With the ninth goal was Kyleah Dugan off of an Adair cross. The game was ended with a great wall pass between Emily Snider and Hanna Christopher. Emily Snider was able to finish it and end the game. The Rebels ended the game early with a ten to zero win. Come out and support your Rebels!
