GMG Track Helpers By: Luke Petty At the GMG Relays, which will be held on April 8, they will need volunteers to help with the meet. You can get community service hours, if you are a GMG Student. Parents are definitely needed to help. You will be doing a lot of simple tasks, such as putting up hurdles, timing, and measuring. If you are interested contact either, Mr. Mark Gabriel, Mr. Mike Pearson, or Mr. Jon Reed, as soon as possible.

Cheerleading Try Outs By: Lexie Curry GMG High School held its cheerleading try outs for next years cheerleaders on Tuesday March 19. Mrs Becky Borota was in charge of the tryouts. Teachers were also asked to help with other criterion such as: the student demonstrates leadership/organization skill, Attends class regularly; is not tardy, attitude in class, responsibility/dependability, attitude toward peers/those in authority, and current grade. Mrs. Borota will be the coach again next year, and GMG is looking forward to an exciting new squad for the 2013-2014 school year.

Seussical by Nathan Swaim The musical held on March 15 and March 16 at GMG was a huge hit! Andrew Hughes, Horton; Mackenzie Burt, Jojo Who; Sara Hinson, Gertrude; and Caitlin Appelgate, the Cat in the Hat, held lead roles in Seussical, and they all were sensational! Who knew GMG had such talent. Summer Langebau was also awesome. She was Amazing Mazie, and Summer and the other birds were dressed adorably in their feathery costumes. The birds were Autumn Rosacker, Ella Gruen, and Jennifer Barota, and when they entered he stage there was color and action! Taylor Jackson nailed her performance as the Sour Kangaroo. The Wickersham Brothers were the threat of the stage, every time they appeared. The dynamic brothers were played by Lucas Catherwood, Jeff Hughes, Alex Sealman, and Isaiah Zielstorf. The Who family was delightful too. The Mayor of Whosville was Noah Thurston, and his first lady was Kenna Krier. Their children were Alix Hesmer, Chris Lothe, Bree Rockne, and Megan Slingluff. Of course, we cannot forget the adorable Thing 1 and Thing 2, performed by Elee Edwards and Ashley Miller. If I missed anyone, I want you to know everyone was super. Thank you, Mrs. Mulliken for the fun musical, and everyone for coming and supporting these hard working students! Also, a big thank you goes to the behind the scene help, Seussical gets a two thumbs up!
