Blood Drive by Nathan Swaim There was a full gym on Friday, March 8. Lots of blood was given that day and lots of lives potentially saved. The blood drive at the GMG High School was a huge success. Thank you everybody who participated. Please come back next year!

Spring Sports Soon Tyler Thurston It is hard to believe, with all of the snow on the ground, that the springs sports activities are just around the corner. There will be a boys and girls j.v./varsity track meet on March 25th, 2013. The meet will be held at Conrad’s golf course. There will also be a golf meet on April 4th, 2013. This meet will be held at Traer’s Golf Course. Come support all of these GMG athletes!

GMG Student Council By: Luke Petty GMG Student Council is wanting next years applicants. If you are interested in joining student council step one is fill out an application. The next thing you need to do is get a petition with 50 signatures and 50% of those signatures need to be from your class. The third step is turn in the application and petition to Mrs. Cutler’s box. If you have any questions talk to Mrs. Cutler.

NHS Induction Rescheduling and Speaker By:  Noah Scheidel Due to weather, the GMG National Honor Society’s annual induction ceremony, originally scheduled for March 5, has been rescheduled to take place on Friday, March 22.  There will be 11 students inducted into NHS this year.  Mr. Alan Burt will be speaking to the NHS members, old and new, about service.  The public is welcome to come to the GMG High School cafeteria to witness the induction of these 11 outstanding students.  Refreshments will be served afterward. On another note, the GMG NHS, as well as the GMG dance team, are selling frozen foods as a fundraiser.  To learn more, contact an NHS or dance team member or GMG High School.

Semester Change by: Tristan Zoffka Originally, the end of the third quarter for GMG was to March 18. Since there have been so many snow days, the semester is going a little longer. The end of the 3rd quarter will now be March 26. This way the teachers and students may get caught up, if they were behind. It also evens the days of both the third and fourth quarter. If your GMG student is not signed up for their fourth quarter, see that he/she does so quickly!
