UI students named to President’s list for fall 2012 Some 200 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa were named to the President’s List for the 2012 fall semester. The President’s List was established in the fall of 1983 to recognize academic excellence. In order to be included on the list, a student must have a minimum 4.0 grade point average (4.0 is an A) in all academic subjects for the preceding two semesters, with a total of at least 12 semester hours of credit per semester during that period. Those from this area named to the President’s List were Wyatt Patrick Kaiser, Garwin, Iowa, Liberal Arts & Sciences.
UI students receive degrees after 2012 fall session The University of Iowa awarded an estimated 1,500 degrees at the close of the 2012 fall session. Among the students from the Garwin area who received degrees at the UI commencement is Alexander Joseph Dvorak, BSE, Industrial Engineering.
