Before Judge Robert E. Sosalla in Tama County District Court in Toledo: Jeffrey Allan Liesener, 32, Eldora, pled guilty to 1st degree harassment. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail with all but 14 days suspended and credit for time served. Liesener was ordered taken into custody immediately to serve the balance of the jail time. He was also fined $625 and placed on supervised probation for one year to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services. Liesener was charged on April 26, 2012, for allegedly calling Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police Officer Kenneth Raymond Brady on the telephone and threatening to kill him according to the court record. The charge was field by Tribal Police Officer Ronald L. Pexa. Ian Niles Kapayou, 23, rural Tama, pled guilty to 3rd offense drunken driving and was sentenced to five years in prison with all but 30 days suspended and credited for 30 days already served. He was assigned to a community-based residential facility offering the OWI Program component and was placed for up to one year. A $3,125 fine as also imposed and his driver’s license was revoked for six years. Kapayou was charged on Dec. 10, 2012, in the 300 block of Meskwaki Road by Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police Officer Lee Posusta. Susan Ebba Gauch, 56, Clutier, pled guilty to charges of maintaining a drug house and possession of a controlled substance - marijuana. She was granted a deferred judgement, placed on supervised probation to the Department of Correctional Services for two years and directed to pay a $300 supervisory fee. Gauch was assessed at total of $940 in civil penalties. She was charged on July 8, 2012, at a residence in the 300 block of 3rd Street, Clutier, by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Joe Quandt. Erik Michael Trask, 29, Cedar Rapids, pled guilty to 2nd offense domestic abuse assault causing injury. He was sentenced to two years in prison with all but four days suspended and credited for four days already served. Trask was fined $625 and placed on supervised probation for two years to the 6th Judicial District Department on Correctional Services He was directed to pay a $300 supervisory fee and to pay for and successfully complete enrollment in a Batter’s Education Program. Trask was charged on Nov. 11, 2012, for allegedly punching his wife in the face, hitting her head against a metal frame and choking her until she passed out. The charge was filed by Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police Officer Sarah Dunkin. Tiffany Lea Scheid, 30, Wellsburg, pled guilty to driving while license suspended. She was fined $1,000. Scheid was charged on Nov. 3, 2012, at 8th and Lincoln streets in Gladbrook by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Joe Quandt. Seger Tyrone Brown, 34, Marshalltown, pled guilty to 2nd degree harassment.  He was sentenced to 364 days in jail with all but 15 days suspended and credited with 15 days already served and fined $315. Brown was placed on probation for one year to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services. He was charged on Jan. 19 for allegedly sending a threatening text message by Tama Police Chief Dan Wilkens. Brigitte Theresia Naperkowski, 58, Ottumwa, pled guilty to 1st offense drunken driving. She received a deferred judgment was assessed a $1,250 civil penalty and placed on supervised probation. She was directed to pay a $3000 probation enrollment fee. Naperkowski was charged on May 4, 2012, at 11th and State streets by Tama Police Detective Kimberly Schwartz.

Elizabeth Marie Mogie, 28, Norwalk, failed to appear for trial and was found guilty by consent judgement, $398 fine and court costs. Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police. Shannon Lee Fogle, 21, Marshalltown, was found guilty of a charge of public intoxication following trial. Fine and court costs $216. Tama County Sheriff’s Office file charge in the 1000 block of U.S. Highway 30 on Jan. 7. LaVern Dwight Mead Jr., 64, Nashua, Iowa, fail to yield to emergency vehicle, failed to appear, adjudged guilty $263. Tama County Sheriff’s Office.
