Senior Citizens’ Fun Night at GMG by: Noah Scheidel On February 15, the GMG National Honor Society held their annual Senior Citizens’ Fun Night from 6:30 until 9:00 p.m. Attendance was very good; much of the community turned out for the fun activities hosted by the NHS. The night started out with three outstanding performances by members of the Speech Team. Performers included the following: Olivia Welton; the radio news team, including Dillon Slingluff; and an acting group of Abigail Duden, Caitlin Appelgate, Jennifer Borota, and Mackenzie Burt. The members of NHS then helped the seniors on a fun quiz with questions about Valentine’s Day. Treats were then given to everyone. Much of the food was homemade and very delicious. Everyone received a nice handmade Valentine card. The night ended with group games, including cards and a few rounds of bingo. The GMG NHS holds the Senior Citizens’ Fun Night annually. Everyone is looking forward to more fun at GMG next year. A great night was had by all!
