Meskwaki Wins a Close Game Over GMG Boys by: Noah Scheidel On Friday, January 18, the GMG Wolverine boys basketball team faced off against the Meskwaki Settlement Warriors at their home court in Garwin. The Wolverines were struggling against the Warriors for most of the game. During the first three quarters, the Wolverines were often losing by about 15 points. GMG made a comeback in the final quarter, when they came as close as 2 points from the lead. In the final seconds of the game, Meskwaki pulled ahead and won the game with a score of 62 for the Warriors and 55 for the Wolverines. Luke Petty, a junior, was the high scorer for GMG with 13 points on the board, and Blake Warren, a senior, brought down the most rebounds for the Wolverines. This was a tough game for the Wolverines, but these young men are fierce competitors.

GMG School Musical Tyler Thurston The wonderful cast for the upcoming musical at GMG has been chosen! The musical is called Seussical and is a ballad of the works written by Dr. Suess. There will be his greats like Cat in the Hat and Horton Hears a Who. There will also be other great stories from this amazing man. The cast includes 4 Seniors. Those seniors are Andrew Hughes, Alix Hesmer, Autumn Rosacker, and Sara Hinson. There are 7 Juniors: Caitlin Appelgate, Mackenzie Burt, Summer Langenbau, Jennifer Borota, Taylor Jackson, Lucas Catherwood, and Kendra Savage. There are 10 Sophormores in the cast: Ella Gruen, Jeff Hughes, Lansana Mohr, Noah Thurston, Kenna Krier, Chris Lothe, Megan Slingluff, Bree Rockne, Elee Edwards, and Ashley Miller. There are also 3 freshman in this production who are Isaiah Zielstorf, Alex Sealman, and Chelsea Hurd. I suggest everyone who can to come see this wonderful production with great actors and actresses. Who knows, maybe you’ll see some of these people on TV in the near future.
