Garwin Modern Homemakers

January 18, 2013
Northern-Sun Print
Ten members of the Garwin Modern Homemakers met at the home of Ethel Lucht. President Kathy Thurston opened the meeting with some cute readings. Then roll call was by Beverly Judge. Her question was, “Have you had your shingles, flu, and pneumonia shots?” This was answered by ten members. Minutes of the December meeting were read and approved. Old business, Beverly Judge suggested the club pay Kathy for the program books, and Donna Tichy for the recipe books, each one $15.00, same as we did last year. Beverly made the motion to pay them. Approved by every member of the club. We had no new business. Dues for 2013 were collected. Program was turned over to Judy Beane. First she gave us our yearly dementia test. Then we played a game called Country Questions? Broke into two teams, with the end score of 24 to 21. It was fun. February hostess will be Verna Stamp, roll call, Ethel Lucht, program, Donna Tichy. Ethel served a delicious luncheon of Impossible Pie, Sparkling Grape drink, coffee, candies, and nuts.
